We bought this Leptospermum for my wife's new "Brazillian corner". She had one in her garden in Brazil, whereas I am more familiar with the dwarfer types alpine enthusiasts grow. They are lovely plants and I particularly like the way this one has blooms of deep rose pink to almost white (I think they start off dark and then fade, but it might be the other way round!). Hopefully it will be OK in a sheltered spot by the house over the winter. |

I've become rather fond of the Verbascums, this one is (I think) Verbascum chaixii album, with smallish white flowers and a fluffy raspberry pink centre. It gets about 4 feet tall here, this is only the third year after sowing seed (it flowered in it's second year)..who said building a garden up from seed was a long term project?

Left, another white variety, this time Geranium clarkei "Kashmir White" with faint mauve veinings to the flowers. My RHS guide tells me that it is less vigorous than "Kashmir Purple", however here it seems to be the other way around. Time to move the Kashmir Purple I think. |
