A beautiful bamboo almost hid the downstairs window. On the other side, but only visible in the picture if you know it is there, is a plant of Plumbago, or "Blue Emily" as it is known in Brazil. |

A Lantana used to grow in the front garden. This picture was taken in Campos de Jordao. We have a plant in England on the patio which is less than foot high right now but has been in flower for months. It is also common in Butterfly Houses as it is a great source of nectar. In the tropics it can become a serious, albeit beautiful, weed. |
