Personally Recommended Books
I'm recommending a few books here from my own collection, some are out of print but you may be able to pick them up second hand. For those in print I've provided a link to the book within Amazon.co.uk, plus I've provided an Amazon search box. I'm an Amazon Associate so if you want to get any of these books please do so from here, I get a small referral fee that I put towards hosting costs.
The Genus Pleione - Kew Monograph - Philip Cribb and Ian Butterfield (now apparently out of print)
The Genus Cyclamen - Kew Monograph Christopher Grey-Wilson (1988)
Cyclamen, a guide for gardeners, horticulturists and botanists -
Christopher Grey-Wilson (1997-2003) An excellent
book with Chris's latest thoughts on classification, plus lots of hints on
cultivation and a much needed listing of the various named cultivars of the
species. A must for anyone interested in Cyclamen!
The Gardener's Guide to Growing Fritillaries - Kevin Pratt & Michael Jefferson-Brown. An important introduction to growing Fritillaries, quite a gap in the market as these have been fashionable for some time now. Great pictures too! More on the Frit Book...
Narcissus – A Guide to Wild Daffodils – John W Blanchard. John is one of the world experts on Narcissus, if you have an interest in the species this is one to look out for.
